Terms of Service

Effective: 13 May 2026. By using iPundit Community, you agree to these terms. iPundit Community is operated by iPundit™ Solutions (Maharashtra, India).

1. Who can use the forum

You must be 18 or older.
One account per person. Don't create multiple accounts to evade moderation or inflate vote counts.
Use a real first name (last name optional). Anonymous handles like "user1234" will be flagged by moderators.

2. Content you post

By posting questions, answers, comments, or any other content on iPundit Community, you:

Confirm that the content is yours to post (you wrote it, or have the right to share it).
License the content under Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 — anyone can re-use it with attribution and the same license.
Grant iPundit Solutions a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide right to host, display, archive, and reformat your content for the operation of the forum.
Retain copyright. You can delete your own posts anytime; deletion removes them from display but the CC BY-SA license cannot be revoked for copies others made before deletion.

3. What you must not post

The following are grounds for content removal and, on repeat, account suspension:

Pirated software, cracks, keygens, license bypasses. Don't ask, don't share, don't link.
Customer-confidential data. Real plant names, project drawings, IP from your employer's projects — strip and anonymize before posting.
Vendor trash-talk. Critique software honestly with reproducible steps; don't drag vendors or their staff personally.
Spam, recruiter blasts, MLM, crypto pitches. Job postings go in the Jobs & News category with the structured form, not freeform.
Personal attacks, harassment, slurs, doxxing. Engineer-to-engineer disagreement is fine; targeting individuals is not.
Personal data of third parties without their consent.

4. Trademark + naming policy

Smart 3D, SmartPlant P&ID, CADWorx, and related products are trademarks of Octave (formerly Hexagon, formerly Intergraph). AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Navisworks are trademarks of Autodesk. BricsCAD is a trademark of Bricsys. iPundit Community is an independent user community and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these vendors.

When discussing products, the community convention is to use the well-known names engineers actually search for (e.g. "Smart 3D" rather than "Octave Forte 3D"); the new Octave product names are accepted as aliases.

5. AI-assisted moderation

iPundit Community may use AI tools to assist with detecting duplicate questions, spam, and inappropriate content. AI-generated suggestions are always reviewed by humans before any moderation action; AI is never used to author answers shown to users.

6. No warranty

iPundit Community is provided as-is. Answers posted by community members are personal contributions, not professional engineering advice. You are responsible for verifying any technical guidance you find here before applying it to your project. Engineering rework is expensive; trust but verify.

iPundit Solutions does not warrant that the forum will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific information here is accurate. We make a best effort; treat content accordingly.

7. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. Where possible, we'll warn first.
You can close your own account anytime — see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your content.
On serious or repeated violations (piracy, harassment, etc.) suspension may be immediate and permanent.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced on the forum and emailed to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the forum after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.
